She has been sailing her entire life. She started teaching with the Manhattan Sailing club in 2010, teaching newcomers how to sail the J24 and navigate the busy traffic of the New York Harbor every year through 2014.​ He joined the Brooklyn Sailing Club in 2015 as a Sailing Coach and continued teaching others to sail on J80s and Melges 24s in New York Harbor. In 2017 he officially became a US Coast Guard certified Captain when she obtained the National Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) License.​He continues get out sailing as often as possible and enjoys sharing her wealth of sailing knowledge with others.  She is a Registered Nurse by profession with 20 years of experience in the medical field years so safety and well being are always a top priority. She is also an avid SCUBA diver, professionally certified as a DiveMaster and a Rescue Diver by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI).
