About the experience

Visit the Rías Baixas and the Atlantic Islands National Park on this one-week journey in which we will navigate the three most emblematic estuaries of Galicia: the Arousa estuary, the Pontevedra estuary and the Vigo estuary. In addition, we will visit the three most important islands that form this national park, with the highest degree of environmental protection in the country: Ons, Cíes and Sálvora.

These three estuaries offer unique conditions for sailing at any time of the year, so they are ideal for enjoying the sea, nature, tranquility and relaxation that this unique environment offers us. We will visit the beach chosen and ranked as the best among the 10 most beautiful in the world, according to the prestigious British magazine The Guardian.

Also during the week, if you feel the curiosity, you can participate in all the maneuvers and tasks of navigation: moorings, handling of sails, of the rudder ... You will also learn nautical terminology and interpretation of the meteorology for the election of the best route, etc. You will be a true sea lion in full swing. An experience you will remember a lifetime!

Program:

Day 1:
Boarding at 10:00 a.m. We will depart at 10:30 after accommodating ourselves, a brief presentation and navigation tips.
We will travel to Ons Island. Lunch on board or in one of the restaurants on the island. We will have time to visit it, bathe in its beaches, etc.
Already in the afternoon, we will sail along the estuary of Pontevedra, where we will decide if we spend the night anchored or in any of the ports of the same.

Day 2:
We will depart to navigate the Ría de Aldán where we will anchor to enjoy its wonderful beaches of clear and crystalline waters. Food on board
In the afternoon we will head to the Vigo estuary, where we will anchor to spend the night on board.

Day 3:
We will visit Cíes Islands, its beaches, its routes with marked routes, its protected species, etc.
In the afternoon we will depart again towards the Vigo estuary to get to know the southern part of it.

Day 4:
We start sailing north towards the estuary of Pontevedra, where we will visit its most emblematic ports, such as Sanxenxo or Combarro, where we can visit its stores, shops, restaurants, etc.

Day 5:
Crossing back to the Arousa estuary, where we will anchor in one of its paradisiacal beaches to eat on board. Navigation to base port.
Docking about 7:00 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., end of the experience, comments, thanks, farewells, etc.

About the Host

Since the age of 6, every summer Sunday I was sailing in a small boat 6m in length, to go fishing and sailing with my parents and a great family friend, veteran skipper, experienced sailor who knew every ricón of our estuaries and best fishing grounds and fishing villages in the area. Many adventures, fishing, and especially that feeling of sailing the seas, is one of the best memories of my childhood. Since then, forever hooked on this incredible environment, its sensations, its riches, its dangers ... With much effort, work and sacrifice, I have managed to fulfill my dream since those early years, to get to have my own boat.

Many miles traveled, all recreational qualifications, I ended up becoming a professional employer, making transfers, crossings of all kinds, etc. to try to enjoy my great passion to the fullest and try to transmit it to all possible people at the same time, to give him the opportunity to discover incredible experiences, and because I think everyone should try it sometime in life, and because I'm sure , which are always unrepeatable and enriching experiences, while unforgettable.

Our boat is a luxury sailboat with capacity for 10 people, equipped with all the details of a last generation boat. It has all the comforts on board: kitchen, oven, refrigerator, living room, 2 full cabins, bathroom, shower, TV, Hi-Fi Mp3 equipment, DVD, mattresses and solarium in bathtub, folding platform, bathing ladder, anti-rust hood, bimini awning, dinghy with outboard motor, etc. In addition to all the comfort it offers, it is equipped with the latest technologies and the greatest safety equipment, life raft, beacon, GPS Plotter, VHF radio equipment, wind equipment, sliding probe, autopilot, etc. It has all the permits, safety equipment and insurance required to comply with current regulations.
