Gastronomy in Brittany On your Brittany boat vacation, you can't miss out on trying seafood, especially Breton oysters, as well as galettes, sweet crepes, cider and Muscadet wine. In Suce-sur-Erdre it is recommended to visit the elegant restaurant Le Clos St. Thomas.
On your river cruise through Brittany, you can visit Dinan Zoo and take part in the Saint Lawrence of Blain festival, which takes place in August and features jugglers and other activities. Also drop by the La Gacillly Butterfly Reserve and the Malestroit Water Museum.

Messac's central position allows you to easily reach all the main sites in Brittany. The coastal town of La Roche-Bernard is 10:30 am sailing south. There you can taste very good oysters. Messac is also close to Josselin (5:30 pm sailing) and its famous castle overlooking the Canal. You can also head towards Rennes (8h30 of navigation), the capital of Brittany.
