Extraordinary experience on the southern coast of Portugal sailing on a sailboat

Portugal, a small but wonderful country where the rustic and historical meet the immensity of the ocean in an explosive paradisiacal landscape.

Starting from the port of Marina de Portimao, where we will find beautiful yachts and a long promenade where we can stroll among shops, we will continue west to Lagos, a port city with numerous beaches and coves. Batata beach is very close to the historic center of the city of lakes, so in addition to soaking up its culture, we can soak up its crystal clear waters. Then, continuing along the coast is the Burgau beach, a very cozy fishing village with a beautiful beach sheltered by two imposing stone cuttings at its ends.

Following we find the town of Salema, with a charm typical of a small town capable of catching you thanks to its architecture and its history. Its beach gives a feeling of spaciousness making the town seem tiny in comparison. At the bottom of this landscape you can see the vegetation and mountains of the place, which next to the sea creates a sensational panorama. Then there is Sagres, where the Mareta Beach is a must-see, although in this city we find many tourist spots that cannot be missed, such as Cabo de San Vicente, the imposing Fortress of Sagres, or the fishing port that gives it a rock touch.

And finally, Cordoama beach, an impressive and grandiose beach embraced by mountains that invites you to enjoy only for its scenic majesty. Surfing in this area is very common, with shops for this sport next to beach bars. In addition to this, just over 5 minutes away it has a recreational area with a picnic area and a barbecue area.

Sail along the Portuguese coast by sailboat and enjoy a unique trip

Destination: Azores

Portugal, a country with a great maritime culture, navigate it by sailboat.

Wonderful week sailing along the Portuguese south coast in a fantastic boat. Enjoy all the wonders of Portugal, a beautiful country, where the weather always accompanies any plan.

To enjoy the trip we recommend starting in the Marina of Portimao, the beautiful port of the city that gives it its name, you will have the opportunity to visit the picturesque coast of the Algarve of Portugal, where you can start an expedition excursion to the caves that can be seen from the coast and that give it an atmosphere of mystery and fantasy. Continuing to the southeast you reach Algar de Benagil, where you can appreciate one of its most famous caves. This sea cave has the shape of a volcano, since a hole appears in its upper part that allows you to see the sky from inside, and inside there is both sand and water, so it gives the feeling of being on a small private beach. Then, near the port of Abrigo in Albufeira, there is the María Luisa Beach, a beautiful stretch of fine sand that contrasts with the mountainous landscape that is created around it. In addition to being a great landscape, it has numerous beach bars where you can taste Portuguese cuisine and let yourself be delighted with the rural atmosphere.

Continuing along the coast we find Quarteira, one of the original coastal towns that settled on the beautiful Algarve coastline. In turn, its beach is considered one of the best in this region. Quarteira beach has an enormous extension that extends throughout the entire city, offering golden sands and calm waters. On this beach you can find all kinds of restaurants and activities since the town is just a short walk from the beach.

And finally, to finish we have the Faro beach, impressive waters that contrast with the white tones of the cliffs that surround it. The back face of this beach overlooks the lagoons and marshes, which are a must if you go to the Lighthouse.
